Race and Global China: Sino-Black Relations

March 18, 2021 @ 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM

In a webinar hosted by the 21st Century China Center, Professor Keisha Brown of Tennessee State University will address the role of race in U.S.-China relations through the lens of Sino-Black relations. In tracing the historical connections of these transnational relations, Brown hopes to provide tools for thinking critically about the impact of ideas of race and networks of difference in China’s growing global presence. This webinar is co-sponsored by the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee at the School of Global Policy and Strategy, and moderated by UC San Diego Professor Victor Shih.
