Chinese Students Town Hall 留学生论坛
September 24, 2020 @ 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM
COVID-19 has further deteriorated U.S.-China relations, and students from the PRC, Taiwan and Hong Kong studying in the U.S. find themselves stuck in between quarantined nations, politically marginalized, academically interrupted, and even racially discriminated against.
Miranda Wu, anthropology Ph.D student, presents her research on the experiences that Chinese international students have in their host countries, followed by a discussion with current UC San Diego students (including China Focus board members Songyue Zhang, Sonia Tan, and Qiao Ye), and updates from the International Students Program Office.
Join the 21st Century China Center for the second virtual town hall to discuss how best to support international students on campus and those learning remotely from their home countries starting this Fall at UC San Diego.
