Sinosphere is a student-run research journal affiliated with the 21st Century China Center at the UC San Diego, School of Global Policy and Strategy. Our publication focuses on original graduate student research on Chinese domestic policy, national security, and foreign affairs in order to improve graduate student participation on these important topics.
The Journal is an annual publication, which accepts quantitative or qualitative research from graduate students around the world. Papers are reviewed by the editorial staff and a faculty review board using a blind process.
The Spring 2023 edition is now available to read — check it out along with our 2021 and 2022 journals below!
Please visit this page again in Fall 2023 if you are interested in submitting your paper for the 2024 journal. Guidelines can be found under the submissions page. If you have any questions, please contact us at sinosphere@ucsd.edu.
“Knowledge and understanding on what China is doing in the field of technology and national security is still lacking, so it is imperative that the new generations of analysts and scholars are well trained and encouraged to engage in original research and thinking because China, during the course of their future careers, is going to be very different from the present and past.”
